Delicate and fragrant, but deceptive power and firm tannins, this has perfumes of juicy cranberries, cinnamon and bergamot, with rhubarb over a savoury core. Site selection, miniscule yields and fastidious vineyard management are essential to its success.

The 2019 growing season was one that challenged even the most experienced and well-equipped vignerons due to extreme temperatures and the consequent bush fires. Shaw + Smith made the most of the situation and produced small crops of very clean fruit with wonderful flavour and intensity. Despite the warm and dry summer, the 2019s retained a beautiful natural acidity.
The Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir is sourced largely from the cool and high altitude Lenswood vineyard. The Pinot Noir clones used are the 777 from Burgundy and MV6, the backbone of many of Australia's best Pinots.
Shaw + Smith began over a long lunch in 1989 when cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith decided to realise a long-held dream to make wine together. Their vision remains to make exciting, refined wines, exclusively from the Adelaide Hills, that rank among Australia’s best. The wines are made from a number of sites throughout the Adelaide Hills. They specialise in grape varieties suited to the cooler climate, namely Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz.

Unfortunately we do not deliver overseas, to the Channel Islands and BFPO addresses
I missed my delivery. What do I do?
Our deliveries are made by a third party company. If you are unavailable to sign for the order the driver may leave the wine in a ‘safe’ place as specified by you whilst placing order. A card will be posted through your letterbox notifying you of where it has been delivered or how you can arrange a re-delivery. The courier will attempt to deliver your order twice after which time it will be returned to their depot for collection by you. If the wine has not been collected after 3 days it will be returned to us. Please note that unfortunately re-delivery will incur a charge. Any problems please contact us firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to sort things out.
Some items are missing/damaged in my delivery?
It is important to keep & check your delivery note – you should notify us immediately of any missing or damaged items. Our email address is email@example.com
Can I order less then 6 bottles?
Yes of course however our Courier company will still charge £5 for delivery so it is more cost effective to order more.
Can I return un-opened bottles of wine?
Yes, that’s not a problem. All bottles should be unopened & intact with no label damage i.e. water damage. We will arrange a refund within 48 working hours of the goods being received & inspected. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I think my wine may be faulty?
We are really sorry to hear that. We will replace or refund any of our wines that are faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights. We will require faulty bottles to be returned to us. We will arrange this for you. Please email as at email@example.com
