Château de Vaudieu, `Closerie de Vaudieu` Châteauneuf-du-Pape
This wine is dark ruby in colour. It has lively cherry notes on the
nose, a touch of liquorice and hints of black pepper. On the
palate, it is full-bodied and the ripe tannins gently support the
cherry, cassis and herb character on the finish.
The 18th century Château de Vaudieu has been in the Bréchet
family for over 50 years and today is run by Laurent Bréchet, the grandson of the original owner. The name 'Vaudieu' originates from 'Vallée de Dieu', or 'Valley of God', a reference to the beauty of the area around Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Vaudieu has 70 hectares of vineyards in total, of which 60 hectares are planted with red varieties on prized sites that are located just east of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, neighbouring the vineyards of the famed Château Rayas.
Spread over 70 hectares the soils vary greatly,
from sand to quartz (galets) and clay/limestone outcrops. This
diversity of soil and exposure adds complexity to the blend, with the fruit from the sandier soils lending aromatic elegance and that from the galets giving power and intensity. As well as the main varietals, the `Closerie de Vaudieu` also contains five grapes indigenous to the Rhône Valley, including Counoise, Vaccarèse, Muscardin, Terret noir and Picpoul noir. The vines are over 65 years in age and the fruit gains incredible levels of concentration as a result.

I missed my delivery. What do I do?
Our deliveries are made by a third party company. If you are unavailable to sign for the order the driver may leave the wine in a ‘safe’ place as specified by you whilst placing order. A card will be posted through your letterbox notifying you of where it has been delivered or how you can arrange a re-delivery. The courier will attempt to deliver your order twice after which time it will be returned to their depot for collection by you. If the wine has not been collected after 3 days it will be returned to us. Please note that unfortunately re-delivery will incur a charge. Any problems please contact us firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to sort things out.
Some items are missing/damaged in my delivery?
It is important to keep & check your delivery note – you should notify us immediately of any missing or damaged items. Our email address is email@example.com
Can I order less then 6 bottles?
Yes of course however our Courier company will still charge £5 for delivery so it is more cost effective to order more.
Can I return un-opened bottles of wine?
Yes, that’s not a problem. All bottles should be unopened & intact with no label damage i.e. water damage. We will arrange a refund within 48 working hours of the goods being received & inspected. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I think my wine may be faulty?
We are really sorry to hear that. We will replace or refund any of our wines that are faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights. We will require faulty bottles to be returned to us. We will arrange this for you. Please email as at email@example.com
